The Service does not transfer legal ownership of animals; it facilitates financial support and ongoing connection with shelter animals.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

4. Payments and Donations

Payments for virtual adoptions, reservations, or other contributions are processed through our payment providers. All amounts are in the currency displayed at checkout. Refunds are subject to our refund policy and the policies of participating shelters. We do not guarantee that contributions are tax-deductible; you are responsible for determining your own tax obligations.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or shelter staff
• Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data

6. Shelter Participation

Shelters that register and use the Service are responsible for the accuracy of animal listings, compliance with applicable laws, and communication with adopters. We do not guarantee the conduct or practices of any shelter. Disputes between users and shelters should be resolved directly where possible.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content (including logos, design, and text) are owned by One Paw Connect or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. User-generated content you submit grants us a license to use it in connection with operating the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Virtual adoption does not create a legal ownership or custody relationship with any animal.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Paw Connect and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
